A portfolio for a multimedia designer and illustrator that feels like her work, not like a gallery template.
The brief
Show four projects and a set of digital paintings in a way that people remember, and make it easy to reach her for freelance work.
What we made
- A night sky, violet-black with small stars and chartreuse accents. Each project chapter takes its own colour.
- A deck of tarot cards in WebGL, one card per project. On a computer it fans out and follows the cursor; on a phone it is a stack you swipe. Scroll past it and the cards are dealt away.
- Project cards that flip as they arrive, and the paintings in a gallery that opens each one large.
- Headings in Cal Sans. A still version for devices set to reduce motion.
“I didn’t want another gallery grid, and Qandeel got that from the first call. People message me about the tarot cards before they mention anything else, and then they stay and look through all of my work.”
